A 2-story, 137,000 square foot cold shell data center. The exterior façade consists of approximately 44,000 sq. ft. of terra cotta rain screen system, manufactured in Germany, and installed by California Drywall.

Stanford University initiated construction activities in Summer 2018 for the Middle Plaza at 500 El Camino Real Project. Middle Plaza offers approximately 155,000 square feet office and retail space across three, 3-story buildings. The 34,000 square foot Building 1 contains approximately 10,000 square feet of shops and cafes on the ground level with the remaining two floors reserved for offices. Building 2 has total area of approximately 88,460 square feet and includes rooftop terraces. Building 3 totals 30,000 square feet, and features a parking garage and lobby on the ground floor and office space on the second and third floors.

Renovations to four, three-story occupied office buildings, totaling 100,000 square feet for a growing technology innovator. The refresh included double-height ceilings in the lobby and centrally located social lounges on all three floors encouraging casual collisions. Conference space was incorporated into these lounges with glass walls offering views from the upper-level areas to the lower-level lobby. The social lounges consist of a coffee bar and numerous communal seating arrangements for collaboration and support of varied work styles.

With the goal foster to enable greater collaboration, innovation and growth, Analog Devices envisioned its state-of-the-art facility would provide some of the industry’s brightest minds in an incredible next-generation workplace.

For this four-phase, six-floor, 288,000 square foot project, the architect specified multiple specialty ceilings including:

• 623 Velo Concave/Convex Ceiling Marino Felt Panels by 3form in six different colors,
• 1,226 – 46 inch and 96 inch Armstrong Soundscape Blades in six different colors, both straight and wave cut
• 518 square feet of Armstrong WOODWORKS Open Cell decorative, solid wood ceiling in Cherry were hung in two libraries and a conference room,
• 11,033 square feet of Navy Island Soundply wood veneer ceiling and wall panels in both White Oak and Walnut
• 540 square feet of Ceiling Plus Barz Metal Ceiling,
• 856 square foot Arktura Vapor Soft laser cut graphic metal panel wall system installed at the rear of the 1st floor conference room
• 1456 square feet of 1” thick Sapphire Autex Acoustics Cube Panels we installed on the side walls of the 1st floor conference room These Decorative and functional acoustic wall covering made from compressed polyester felt and has an NRC value of 0.65. California Drywall notched the panels so the electricians could install LED lighting to shine down on the handrail.

In addition to the challenge of installing multiple specialty ceiling systems, we also had to contend with 12-16 week lead times for many of the products. Ultimately, coordination of all the elements for this highly-complex project was “impressive”, a difficult project was beautifully realized, challenges were met, and expectations were exceeded.

A leading tech company’s 220,000 square foot headquarters in Santa Clara, put the labs in the forefront to celebrate the fuel that powers the future. The ground level opens its doors to the community with spaces for customers and visitors to demo their latest technology and play with the latest and greatest in the world of VR and AR. The floors above create workspaces and labs where these exciting technologies are created and tested. Centralized location of labs and collaboration zones bring people together instead of creating siloed spaces. Pops of color are revealed throughout the open break areas, meeting rooms, and focus niches assisting with wayfinding across the 6-story stack, while quiet neutral workspaces flank the perimeter.
